Board and Train Program
When it comes to your dog you want the best for them. So why not invest in the best for them?
Board and Trains are our most intensive and customizable program and are perfect for people with big goals and busy schedules!
Whether you have a new puppy you want to give a solid foundation for life or you have an overzealous pup that needs to learn some manners, we are here to help!
Nerdy Dog Training specializes in lifestyle-based training vs the traditional obedience-based program. Our goal is to train dogs in a way that teaches them emotional control and to successfully live in a world made for humans without losing their ability to be a dog.
What Sets Nerdy Dog Training Apart…
Monday to Thursday Program- Instead of your dog staying with me the entire length of their program, they stay with me Monday to Thursday and go home for the weekend. This allows you to regularly see your dog and gives you the opportunity to practice their new skills in small bite size pieces. It also gives us the opportunity to troubleshoot any issues that pop-up.
Weekly End of Week Lessons- At the end of each week we will meet to go over what your dog learned and how to practice and follow through with their new skills. This is much easier than learning several weeks’ worth of information all at once and gives you a better understanding of what your dog is learning.
In-Home- Our Board and Trains are home based, meaning your dog lives in my home and is treated like one of my own dogs. They play with my dogs, cuddle on the couch, hang out in the backyard, and become one of the family! This gives them the most realistic environment for their training.
Trial Week- In addition to going home on weekends about halfway through your program your dog will spend an entire week at home to practice their new skills and give us both a snapshot of where their training is at and what we should focus on for the last few weeks of their program. (This week is not counted in the 6 weeks of training)

6 week Program- $4,500
At Nerdy Dog Training we aim to give dogs as much freedom as they can responsibly handle. This means we focus less on obedience and more on teaching dogs to make good choices on their own. We want to see dogs able to go on off leash hikes, have appropriate play with their humans, enjoy adventures around town, and living life as dogs. We also want to build responsible owners who know their dogs inside and out and can help them be successful in a human world. Every dog and family will have different goals, but at the core everyone wants to have a dog they can enjoy living with and we share that same goal with you.
